The laws of the United States give testator the full control over whom he or she will leave her properties after his or her death. Most will and trust lawyers in the country are well aware of the rights of the testator and they can fully explain these rights to you. Since knowing your rights is very important, you should talk to your will and trust lawyer regarding the things that you can or cannot do with your properties as early as possible. Set a meeting with your will and trust lawyer to discuss these matters fully before you start drafting your will.

When drafting your will, you need to be certain whom to leave your properties in case you die. Take the time to consider whom you will leave your money and properties to before you start writing your will. Remember that although you can always ask your will and trust lawyer to change your will anytime, you should never take things for granted. Who knows, something might happen and you won’t have time or the chance to change your will at all.

Aside from asking your will and trust lawyer to explain to you your rights, you should also ask your will and trust lawyer about estate taxation. Remember that when you die, the state tax your estate so there is a big possibility that your heirs will receive a lesser amount than you expect them to get. Fortunately, there are ways to legally avoid huge taxes against your estate. Ask your will and trust lawyer to help you find legal means to minimize the impact of taxation on your estate.

What is the Law when the executors of a last Will and Testament alter a will?

My Mothers will was passed around and it has had names scratched out and others replaced, the Initials beside them are obviously not my Mothers and one Name (her name sake) is Misspelled. Is this grounds for having the executors removed?

Answer
Hell yes it is.
